Amid mixed reactions to recent rulings, some members of Congress are directing criticism at the U.S. Supreme Court for a different reason. They’re taking aim at the personal dealings of some of the justices and their lack of disclosure.

Arizona Congressman Raúl Grijalva said the justices haven’t moved to ensure they abide by the same code of ethics as other government officials. Which he said is Congress’ cue to step in.

“If we are going to respect the Supreme Court as the ultimate arbitrator in our government,” Grijalva said, “then we need to respect that their decisions are based on something other than political connections and donations.”

Grijalva, a Democrat, said the court’s credibility is in question when justices have potentially unethical associations.
