The U.S. government won a conviction against a Mesa woman last week for her role in a multimillion-dollar fraud case targeting Arizona’s Medicaid program. 

State officials have confirmed the Harmony Family Services facility in Arizona was suspended from receiving Medicaid payments Sept. 3, 2021. It was one of about 250 facilities who have been suspended from payment. 

Diana Marie Moore ultimately pleaded guilty to wire fraud and money laundering. She will be required to repay up to $23 million and has agreed to forfeit four homes, luxury cars and jewelry.

It’s not known whether Moore’s case is tied to a widespread scheme that sent Native American victims from Arizona and New Mexico to fraudulent sober living homes, mostly in the Phoenix metro area. 

Moore will be sentenced Sept. 18.
