The heat is already making pregnancy much more dangerous. And health reporter Shefali Luthra says it's also putting contraception at risk. 

Luthra covers health for The 19th, and she found heat can make things like birth control, condoms and pregnancy tests less effective. And that’s especially problematic for many reproductive rights organizations working in states that have restricted abortion.
