The CDC issued a warning for a salmonella outbreak linked to pre-cut cantaloupes, which has spread to 15 states, including Arizona.

Trufresh, based in Nogales, Arizona; Vinyard Fruit and Vegetable Company, from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and ALDI have recalled their cantaloupe products, which were sold to several states in October and November, according to the CDC.

The CDC also reported 43 salmonella infections, seven of which were in Arizona. Seventeen people have been hospitalized, but no deaths have been reported.

Investigations are ongoing to identify other potential contaminated products.

Salmonella is a bacterial infection. Symptoms include a fever and stomach cramps. Medical attention is needed for excessive vomiting and a fever above 102 degrees Fahrenheit.
