The Food and Drug Administration says a California-based food distributor has recalled several products containing celery due to possible E-coli contamination.

Taylor Farms Pacific issued the recall after 19 people in seven states became sick from eating a chicken salad mix from Costco.

Jessica Rigler with the Arizona Department of Health said no one in Arizona became sick, but added that anytime a product that has E-Coli in it, especially a product like celery, it needs to be pulled from the shelves out of an abundance of caution.

Costco, Safeway, Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club and Albertson’s have all pulled foods containing celery. They range from salad kits to food trays.

E-coli is a bacteria that can be life threatening, though no deaths have been reported.
