Kingman Bans Text While Driving

Kingman’s city council voted this week to ban the use of handheld devices while driving.  According to the Kingman Daily Miner, the council approved the measure, which prohibits talking and texting, in a 5 to 1 vote. The ban begins January 1st, but there will be a 90 day grace period in which police will issue verbal warnings to educate the public about the law. After that, a driver could be fined as much as $500.
