Ford Announces More Driverless Cars, Arizona Chosen As Testing Ground

At this week’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, the Ford Motor Company announced that it would triple its fleet of autonomous—or driverless—Ford Fusion hybrids.

Arizona is one of three states that will be the testing ground for those cars. Ken Washington, vice president of research and advanced engineering at Ford, spoke about why Arizona is a good fit for the kind of testing.
