It may seem like the key word in the political party conventions is party. Delegates are celebrating and screaming from the floor, celebrating their nominees and platforms.

But, the process of becoming a delegate is a more serious one. Barbara Lubin, political director for the Arizona Democratic Party, spoke about this.
