Ken Koshio plays the taiko, a traditional Japanese drum.

The taiko is a Japanese drum, and Valley musician—and Japanese native—Ken Koshio is an expert at playing it.

But he’s also expanded his horizons by trying his hand at string and wind instruments. He’s focused on bringing different cultures together through music. On April 2, he’ll provide some examples of that with Taiko ‘n’ Roll II: Yin and Yang at Tempe Center for the Arts.
