The Zika virus was first identified in the spring of 2015 in Brazil. Since then, concerns have heightened over the potential impact on child development.

Efforts have increased to eliminate the mosquitoes that spread the disease. But how much preparation is really taking place, and what are the ethical implications behind certain potential restrictions?

James Hodge, professor of public health law and ethics at the O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University, spoke about the issue.
