Downtown Phoenix.

Last week, The Show interviewed Fernanda Santos of The New York Times about a piece she had written about the increased hipness of downtown Phoenix.

Attorney Grady Gammage, a Valley native, has worked in downtown Phoenix since 1967.

The biggest change he's seen?

The ASU downtown campus.

"It put people on the street in the daytime," Gammage said. "The fact that that happened right as light rail came online created a kind of synergy that finally began to make a real difference in downtown."
