The court-appointed monitor of the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office will host a public meeting Wednesday in Tolleson.

Federal Judge G. Murray Snow tapped retired police chief Robert S. Warshaw to be the monitor in 2014.

Warshaw will speak Wednesday about policy changes and reforms at the Sheriff’s Office, as well as his role overseeing the agency’s implementation of court orders to end racial profiling of Hispanics. Warshaw will also answer questions from the public, and listen to ongoing concerns.

Snow is expected to announce remedies this week in a civil contempt of court case against Sheriff Joe Arpaio and other MCSO leaders. Snow may also refer the case for criminal prosecution.

The public meeting will be in English and Spanish. It starts at 6:30 p.m. at Arizona Desert Elementary School at 8803 W. Van Buren St.
