There’s a new world’s biggest radio telescope, and it was designed by and built in China.
The 500-meter telescope, called FAST, is bigger than the one at Arecibo Observatory in Puerto Rico.
To get a sense of why size matters in this area and what this new radio telescope might find, we talk to Mike Nolan, science team chief for the OSIRIS-REx Spacecraft Mission at the University of Arizona and former director of the Arecibo Observatory.
