Researchers at the University of Arizona are developing a way to measure memory in young kids, and children with intellectual disabilities.

They’re hoping to ultimately be able to tell how reliable their memory measurements are and to track which parts of memory are most compromised or impaired in kids with intellectual disabilities.

Jamie Edgin is an assistant professor in the Psychology Department at UA and director of the Memory Development Disorders Laboratory there.

Edgin answers why working on ways to measure memory in these kids is an important thing to do.
