The first phase of Sky Harbor Airport’s Terminal 3 modernization project is complete. The recent updates to the terminal are meant to enhance the passenger travel experience with more ticket counters and an expanded security checkpoint. 

Project manager Art Fairbanks said the changes are all about increasing efficiency. 

“This terminal is designed to grow with Phoenix. So, you move quickly to your gate,” he said. “And overtime the common use nature of it will allow more flights to move in and out of Phoenix to accommodate more passengers.” 

Good news for those who can never find an available outlet, there will be access to power in nearly every seat in the terminal.

The full modernization project is expected to be completed in 2020.
