A section of Interstate 10 will be closed for road work starting tonight.

The Arizona Department of Transportation says eastbound I-10 between 75th and 51st avenues will be closed until 2 p.m. Saturday.

The closure had been scheduled for last weekend, but wet weather led to it being postponed.

ADOT says drivers should look for other routes. The work is to prepare for construction of a new freeway interchange.
