Climate Change Could Make Storms Like Harvey More Common

Rain continues to fall in southeastern Texas, which is already experiencing severe flooding because of Harvey.

And the National Weather Service is forecasting the storm will bring torrential rains to southwest Louisiana as well.

Researchers are looking into the effect climate change may be having on storms like this one. With me to explain is Ben Kirtman. He’s a professor of atmospheric sciences at the University of Miami.
