An endangered species native to Arizona is in trouble. This summer’s Frye Fire burned more than 48,000 acres around Mt. Graham in southeastern Arizona, and that has led to a dramatic decrease in the number of red squirrels found there.

With me to talk about this is Marit Alanen, a Fish and Wildlife Biologist with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in Tucson.
