The "Every Try Counts" campaign will target smokers who’ve unsuccessfully tried to kick the habit.

The Food and Drug Administration this week launched a new campaign to try to get smokers to quit.

The "Every Try Counts" campaign will target smokers between the ages of 25-54 who’ve unsuccessfully tried to kick the habit in the last year, and will be shown near where people buy their smokes.

Wayne Tormala is the chief of the Bureau of Tobacco and Chronic Disease at the state Department of Health Services.
