It wasn’t that long ago companies like Google and Facebook attracted attention for what seemed like innovative workplace perks — things like free catered meals, game rooms and on-site services like dry cleaning.

But as technology permeates more industries so does the tech focused workplace.

JLL, a commercial real estate services firm, recently released its Tech Office Trends Report. Matthew Coxhead is executive vice president at JLLS' Phoenix office.

When he talks about the tech industry, Coxhead said it includes many different fields — from health care to education to banking and insurance.
