Vice President Mike Pence To Tout Tax Cuts In Tempe
Vice President Mike Pence is scheduled to speak at an event open to the public at the Marriott Tempe at the Buttes resort Tuesday afternoon.
The appearance is being promoted by an independent expenditure group called America First Policies that was formed by former campaign aides to President Trump to promote the White House agenda.
The group’s website says the event will focus on the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act passed by Republicans last year and “what the tax cuts mean for you and your family.”
Pence has been traveling the country raising money and stumping for candidates in the run-up to the 2018 midterm elections.
The vice president’s visit comes just a week after Arizona’s traditionally Republican 8th Congressional District was threatened by a Democratic contender in a special election.
