What Makes The NFL A Nonprofit Organization

The National Football League is counting on the Super Bowl to bring in tens of millions of dollars — if not more — into its coffers. And it won’t be disappointed.

The NFL also paid its commissioner Roger Goodell $44 million last year. Even taking all of that into account, the NFL is somehow a nonprofit.

We got an explanation for that from Mary Feeney, associate professor in the School of Public Affairs at ASU’s College of Public Service and Community Solutions.
