The state of Arizona is the fifth-largest in the country, based on the amount of land, with more than 72 million acres. 

How is the state doing with management of that land?

How are private entities doing?

The W.P. Carey School of Business at ASU is introducing the Large Landowner Initiative, which is intended to combine the interests of the public, the real estate industry and the government, among others.

We talked about it with Former State Land Commissioner Vanessa Hickman, who will lead the program and Mark Stapp, the director of ASU’s Master of Real Estate Development program.
