Interior Secretary Deb Haaland said the Bureau of Land Management’s headquarters will return to Washington, D.C.

The Trump administration had moved the department’s HQ to Grand Junction, Colorado, arguing it would put BLM employees closer to the land they managed. But, the vast majority of workers did not make the move west, instead opting to quit or find another job.

As part of her announcement, Haaland also said the bureau would continue to have a presence in Grand Junction, and that she expects it to grow.
