Arizona to see even more monsoon rains this week
Arizonans can continue to expect more monsoon rains in the coming days. A 30% chance of precipitation is expected Sunday, with lower elevations even more likely to experience rainfall. Lower-than-average temperatures in the Valley will hover around 100 degrees.
Matt Hirsch is a meteorologist with the National Weather Service.
“We are going to see a threat, pretty much, across the entire lower deserts in Arizona,” Hirsch said. “It looks like the greatest concern with these storms is going to be heavy rain and potential flash flooding.”
Hirsch warns drivers to watch for slippery roads and to make sure windshield wipers are in working order.
