A group of inmates incarcerated at one of the state’s private prisons is asking Gov. Ducey to release people who have been convicted of non-violent crimes to help reduce the spread of the coronavirus. According to the Arizona Department of Corrections, minimum-custody inmates represent a low risk to the public and staff.

KJZZ is tracking COVID-19 in Arizona prisons. There are more than 38,000 inmates in state custody in Arizona, living in 10 state-run prisons and six private facilities. This map will be periodically updated with inmate testing data from the Arizona Department of Corrections.
