The Foilies: Parody Award Highlights Obstacles Within Freedom Of Information Act Requests

Whatever profession you’re in, the idea of winning an award or being recognized for something you accomplished probably sounds pretty exciting. That description, though, doesn’t fit when it comes to the Electronic Frontier Foundation’s Foilies.

Those are presented — sarcastically — to government agencies and organizations that have done a poor job in giving the public information or responding to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests.

The Show talked about the Foilies with Aaron Mackey of the Electronic Frontier Foundation about whether it’s getting more difficult for the public to access government-related information.
