Virtual workshops scheduled for businesses looking to work with Phoenix airports
Phoenix will host workshops for businesses interested in winning contracts with city-owned airports: Sky Harbor International, Deer Valley and Goodyear.
The Phoenix Aviation Department will hold a one day virtual business summit followed by a two-hour bidding boot camp. Participants will learn about upcoming business opportunities, the ins and outs of the procurement process, certification programs and how to navigate the security badging process.
Contractors who’ve done work with the city will share their experience bidding for awards and meeting project requirements.
Deer Valley and Goodyear are general aviation airports and do not include commercial airlines found at Sky Harbor.
The free online events will take place Feb. 22 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Feb. 23 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Businesses can register at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/2022-aviation-business-summit-tickets-249813467807
