The Jan. 6th House Select Committee will be entitled to get the phone records of the head of the Arizona Republican Party.

U.S. District Court judge rejected arguments from Kelli Ward that the subpoena lacks valid legislative purpose.

The subpoena seeks to get the phone numbers of those she called or texted, and calls and messages she received. Ward’s attorney claimed the subpoena could chill communications within party leadership.

But Judge Diane Humetewa said they provided no evidence that providing associated phone numbers would hinder the rights of the plaintiffs.

General counsel for the House of Representatives Douglas Letter said Ward continued to advocate for the overturning of the election even while Congress was recessed due to the violent attack on the U.S. Capitol.
