The State Farm Stadium in Glendale will be hosting Super Bowl LVII on Feb. 12, 2023.

As the state braces for an influx of people coming for the Super Bowl and related events, there are heightened concerns about the spread of respiratory viruses.

Dr. Michael White is the chief clinical officer for Valleywise Health. He recommends Arizona residents get current with their vaccinations as soon as possible.

“Flu vaccine has continued to be widely available within the state and takes time to work so it’s important for us, especially before we start to see these large numbers of individuals come into the state, to get vaccinated now so we’re protected as people come in," he said.

White says anyone who feels ill or has flu-like symptoms should stay home. White also suggests wearing masks for those with certain medical conditions.
