Phoenix is one of the five worst cities in the country for air pollution, according to a new report released Wednesday. The American Lung Association’s annual State of the Air report finds Phoenix had more unhealthy days because of ozone than in the previous year; the city was the fifth most polluted for ozone.

The data do show Phoenix making some improvements in the area of particle pollution, although it’s still ranked as the 13th worst in the country. And, as our next guest explains, poor air quality does not affect everyone in the same way — or to the same extent.

The Show spoke with Nuvia Enriquez with Chispa Arizona about the report. The group works on climate justice issues and her overall reaction to the new data.
