The Flagstaff City Council will vote Tuesday on a short-term rental ordinance that could take effect this November.

It would include a $175 annual licensing fee applied to any short-term housing rented out for less than 30 days.

Flagstaff residents have complained for years about the number of short-term rentals, especially related violations such as trash, noise and parking.

The ordinance doesn’t just include a license approval process; it includes one for denials as well.
