The first week of August saw a massive shift in the landscape of college sports, with Arizona at the center of it. The Arizona State University and the University of Arizona, along with three other Pac-12 schools, left the athletic conference, leaving just four schools in the Pac-12 as of Tuesday.
UA, ASU and the University of Utah joined the University of Colorado in the Big 12. Beginning next year, the so-called “Four Corners schools” will compete against colleges in Texas, Kansas and Ohio instead of California, Washington and Oregon.
The Show spoke about what this move means for UA and ASU, as well as the future of the Pac-12, with Stewart Mandel, editor in chief of college football at the Athletic.
