General Motors’ robotaxi service Cruise is suspending driverless operations across the country. Last December, the company started offering services to a small number of people in Phoenix.

The announcement comes days after the California Department of Motor Vehicles revoked the license for Cruise after determining its autonomous cars pose a public danger.

Earlier this month in San Francisco, a Cruise vehicle pinned a pedestrian after they were hit by a car with a human driver.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has also announced that it is investigating the company’s autonomous driving division.

No incidents have been reported to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Cruise wrote it is pausing all driverless operations while it examines systems.
