Elvia Díaz: President Joe Biden shouldn't use deportation as a bargaining chip

President Joe Biden and Democrats in Washington D.C. face a tough choice right now as Republican lawmakers are holding up funding to support Ukraine in its war against Russia in exchange for changes to immigration law. 

And while we don’t know yet what the changes will be, there’s talk that the president is considering reinstating Title 42 — the controversial Trump-era immigration policy that would allow authorities to quickly remove asylum seekers and authorize massive deportations of anyone living in the U.S. for less than two years. 

Elvia Díaz says that’s a move Biden would regret. Díaz is the editorial page editor of the Arizona Republic, and she joined The Show to talk more about it.
