Pima County officials are asking for public input as they weigh adding a new county jail.

The Adult Detention Center Blue Ribbon Commission came to fruition to research the need to build or renovate the county jail.

According to the county, the initial report released addresses areas concerning the conditions of the facilities, jail operations and capacity and improvement options and funding.

Those who want to take part in the survey can go to the Pima County website and fill out a questionnaire from now until Jan. 13. A final report is expected to be released at the end of January.
