Arizona will finally get back to a milder winter after freezing temperatures
Flagstaff will see highs in the mid-40s over the next few days after northern Arizona woke up to freezing temperatures Saturday morning thanks to a winter storm earlier in the week.
“We also want to think about our pets that may be outside to make sure that they’re taken care of and need to bring them into a sheltered area with heat," said Jeremy Mazzone, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service based in Flagstaff. "Also, any vulnerable plants or pipes shouldn’t be left exposed."
According to Mazzone, temperatures are expected to get warmer “towards the middle to end of next week.” These will vary based on elevation.

Meanwhile, highs will climb back up to the low 70s in metro Phoenix this week after a blast of cold weather, including freeze warnings for some areas.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 65 and a low around 40.
Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 66 and a low around 40.
Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 68 and a low around 42.
Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 70 and a low around 46.
Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 72 and a low around 48.
Friday: Sunny, with a high near 75 and a low around 51.
