More than 23,000 fans gathered at Allegiant Stadium as Las Vegas kicks off its first Super Bowl week with celebrity performances and fanfare.

The Super Bowl brought excitement for many, including one fan from Anthem.

Courtesy of donations to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Garrett Lee got to attend the big game between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers in Las Vegas.

Jessica Haag is a spokeswoman for Make-A-Wish.

“Garrett is a big Kansas City Chiefs fan, and he’s hoping that he’ll see his team take the victory this year. Garrett is 18 years old, and he has a nervous system disorder,” she said.

According to Haag, Lee’s ultimate dream was to attend the event.

He participated in several activities leading up to the game, including being a part of the red carpet and meeting players at the NFL Honors event. His Chiefs defeated the Niners 25-22 in overtime.
