After a pandemic hiatus, Luke Days returns this weekend to Luke Air Force Base. 

Public Affairs Officer Charise Bryan said a familiar group of Air Force aviators will headline the two-day event.

“Our headliner this year is the Air Force Thunderbirds. They’re the Air Force’s premier aerial demonstration team. So, we’re very excited to have them and welcome them back home to their roots actually, since they were founded at Luke Air Force Base.”

This year’s festivities will also feature aerial demonstrations of the C-17, A-10 and F-35 Lightning II stealth fighter, which suffered numerous performance problems in its early use.

Luke Days usually occurs every two years, but was scrapped in 2020 and 2022 due to the pandemic.

Those attending must pre-register, and identification is required for entry.
