It’s been 25 years since Phoenix had measurable rainfall on Easter Sunday.

The National Weather Service says central and northern parts of the Valley saw the most rain, up to 1.5 inches in some parts.

Meteorologist Gabriel Lojero says precipitation will continue Monday, but it won't be as widespread.

“This afternoon and to early this evening we could see some more isolated to scattered showers and maybe some embedded thunderstorms. But it’s going to be more isolated in nature. So not everyone is going to see activity," Lojero said.

The forecast calls for dryer and warmer weather, until the end of the week, when a dry weather system will bring temperatures back down along with windy conditions.
