Arizona Can Now Travel To New York Without Quarantining
New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo has announced that Arizona has been removed from their list of places where travelers would need to quarantine themselves upon arrival.
Cuomo on Tuesday dropped the 14-day quarantine requirement for Arizonans arriving in New York. Also dropped from the list are Alaska, Delaware, Maryland and Montana.
Neighboring states, New Jersey and Connecticut, also removed Arizona from their lists. They had been acting in concert with the state of New York.
According to Cuomo's office, the quarantine requirement applies to those arriving from an area with a seven-day average of COVID-19 positive test rate of 10 per 100,000 residents or above 10%.
Arizona’s latest numbers show the positive rate at 7.02% for the past seven days.
