Democratic Sen. Mark Kelly spoke to supporters in Phoenix on Saturday after winning his bid for reelection against Republican Blake Masters. The Associated Press called the race Friday evening.

Standing alongside his wife, former congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, Sen. Kelly thanked his supporters after his reelection victory. He also talked about the late Republican Sen. John McCain and his legacy of unity.

"At a time when our state and country remain divided, his legacy of building bridges and focusing on Arizona is an example of what we all should do and what we should look to," he said.

Kelly also said he would be senator for all Arizonans.

“I have seen that when we seek to represent everyone, not just the people who voted for us, we’re capable of extraordinary things," he said.

Kelly also criticized leaders who sowed doubt in the electoral process.

The Arizona race was one of a handful of contests that Republicans targeted in their bid to take control of the U.S. Senate. Other races across the state, including the governor’s race, remain to be called.
