Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer has become an outspoken voice against election denialism since the 2020 election when former President Donald Trump lost — and spurred doubts about why.

Things only became more heated after the 2022 midterms for Richer when failed gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake lost. Since, she hasn’t stopped questioning Arizona’s election system, challenging the results in court, and accusing Richer, in particular, of fixing the election against her.

Last week, Richer announced he had had enough and is suing Lake in Maricopa County Superior court for defamation. He is asking for damages and for Lake to retract what he calls "her defamatory statements about him."

Lake, in response, said on Twitter she was "exposing the massive corruption" in the election system.

She went on to claim the majority of the country knows our elections are fraudulent and asked for donations.

Richer joined The Show to talk about the lawsuit and what's next.
