Arizona's minimum wage is $13.85 as of Jan. 1, 2023.

Arizona’s minimum wage is going up in January, right on schedule. Fifty cents an hour will be added to the current wage.

In accordance with voter approved laws, Arizona will be increasing its minimum wage to $14.35 an hour.

Tucson and Flagstaff have been on separate increase schedules than the rest of the state, due to their own voters. Though since the state outpaced Tucson’s schedule, the city will match the $14.35 an hour in 2024.

Flagstaff is a little more generous at $17.40.

Some Arizona employers, like in the fast food industry, are already offering higher wages anyway due to recent inflation and demand from a tight labor market.

The federal minimum wage remains unchanged since 2009 — currently set at $7.25 an hour.
