As Latino voter numbers increase, political strategist says group isn't a monolith

During election season, politicians often analyze voter demographics to help determine their campaign strategies. And in 2024, 150,000 Latino youth are expected to become eligible to vote.

But Mike Noble of Noble Predictive Insights warns politicians that the Latino voters are not a monolith.

"What we’ve seen in the last few elections is that that advantage Democrats have, they still have it, but it’s just not as strong as it used to be. It’s actually notched down to, I think Democrats only won them by 14 points last time," Noble said.

Noble also says the voting group breaks into subcategories based on current culture, country of ancestral origin and age.

Latinos are a sought after voting demographic nonetheless. According to Pew Research, every 30 seconds, a person of Latino descent becomes eligible to vote in the U.S.
